The Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, Jesus Lover of Humanity Province, gathered at their Motherhouse in Fox Chase Manor, for three days of prayer, reflection and discussions, July 1-3, 2013.

The theme of "Basilian Community Days"-"Facing Our Future With Hope"-was carried throughout the three- day period as Sisters met to receive updates on Province matters and to continue planning for the future.

The proceedings began Monday, July 1, with the presentation of the five- year Provincial Report by Sister Dorothy Ann Busowski,OSBM, Provincial Superior. The all-encompassing report will be taken by province delegates to the Tenth General Chapter in Rome, Italy, scheduled for July 8-24. Representative from all Basilian Provinces will be in attendance to present their respective reports and to discuss other matters relevant to the Order.

Throughout the three days and guided by facilitators Sister Carol Marozzi,SSJ and Sister Connie Gilder,SSJ, the attendees engaged in contemplative dialogue to examine and reflect upon possible options/alternatives directing the Sisters of the Jesus Lover of Humanity Province to a promising future.

At the conclusion of the three- day session, the Sisters agreed to reconvene in November and all offered their prayers for safe travel for the three delegates who will represent the Province in Rome: Sister Dorothy Ann Busowski,OSBM, Sister Joann Sosler,OSBM and Sister Ann Laszok,OSBM. Sister Lydia Anna Sawka,OSBM, will serve as translator for the General Chapter proceedings.
