Your heart, Jesus

Our souls are pierced by the tenderness of Your Heart, Jesus.
Wrapped in Your love which we cannot understand here
Encased within promises only God can make
They are vibrant, they are sure, they are clear.

Eternal love can only spring forth from God
What a treasure of wealth is ours to embrace
We bask in this assurance that marks its oath in Blood
Shed for us in our own hearts to trace.

Holy Lord Jesus, we bless Your precious Name
Write our own names in Your Most Sacred Heart
You love all people like an everlasting flame
We shall glow in heaven as God’s greatest art.
